Meet the Pro

With a bachelor's degree in Psychology and a master's degree in Sports Science, Chris deeply understands the mental and physical aspects that contribute to a golfer's success. Drawing from this expertise, he is dedicated to helping individuals of all skill levels improve their game and achieve their full potential on the golf course. 

 

Having played collegiate golf at Cumberland University, Chris knows firsthand the challenges and joys of the sport. His experience as a player fuels his commitment to guiding others on their golfing journey. As a former coach and current teacher, he possesses excellent communication skills and a knack for breaking down complex concepts into easily understandable techniques.

 

Chris is an accomplished teacher and has made his mark on professional golf tours, including the Hooter's Pro Tour (1999 – 2001), Peach State Pro Tour (2006 – 2008), IGTA Pro-Net Tour (2010 – 2011), and SSG Pro-Am Tour (2011 – 2017). His time on these circuits has honed his skills, expanded his knowledge, and allowed him to develop a unique perspective on the sport. His firsthand experience competing at this level has enabled him to impart invaluable insights to his students, helping them elevate their game.

 

In 2011, Chris established Southern Swing Golf to create a welcoming and supportive environment for golf enthusiasts to learn and grow. He describes, shows, and takes a player through the motions, allowing them to grasp concepts auditorily, visually, or kinesthetically. With a wealth of experience and a genuine love for the game, he has nurtured countless students, instilling in them a deep appreciation for the art of golf.
